Ingredients
- 3 tbsp. olive oil
- 1 block of extra firm tofu in cubes
- 1 chopped onion
- 3 chopped garlic cloves
- 2 tbsp. garam masala powder
- 2 tbsp. curry powder
- 3 tbsp. nutritional yeast
- 1 cam diced tomato
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 1 pinch of cayenne pepper
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- In a hot skillet, melt the olive oil and brown the onion, garlic and the spices until spice are fragrant, about 2 minutes.
- Add nutritional yeast, diced tomato coconut milk and cook for 5 minutes over high heat.
- In the blender or a hand blend puree the tomato mixture. Add the cayenne pepper and mix.
- Put the sauce back in the pan, add the tofu and cook for 5 to 10 minutes. Season.
- Serve your butter tofu recipe with rice.
